Like that you can get breakfast foods all day. Everything we ordered was tasty. It was convenient they had a very nice playground for the kids to pass time. I also like that you can make reservations.
Wife and son loved the food. Mine was wrong though. The reason for the four was they went to the extreme to make it correct. But I have a "thing" about sending food back. I don't do it. The waitress tried to have it remade. The manager came out to convince me to remake it also. The chef, Asa, came out with the manager. Just remove it from the bill and I will eat later. (Just something I do I guess.) Atmosphere was cool looking. Service was great. Good job to them for trying. While they tried their best. Other than a couple things on the menu it's not my kind of food. It's a nice check list to try, and it must work for alot of people since they have multiple locations. Maybe I would returned for a breakfast during cars and coffee. I only say maybe because it was my first time there.
We love coming to the iron rooster for breakfast at least twice per week. The staff is always kind and friendly and the food arrives in a crazy short amount of time. The only reason we gave a rating of 4 stars instead of 5 is because we want them to give the option of leaving the sprinkles off of the Roostart.... if it's not a child ordering it. The Berry tart is so delicious @$7.95.... we just have to scrape those stupid sprinkles off every time.😝Our waitress Leslie not Nancy😋... Is always wonderful and very attentive. We highly recommend this very versatile breakfast spot. Not to mention the other food is really great too.... we just usually come for the breakfast.( PS: We weren't dissing a Nancy just making fun because Leslie says people call her Nancy.... Including us the 1st time 😊)
Staff were very friendly. Large portions of food. Many options and extremely delicious
Iron Rooster was just fabulous. It was down home cooking. The waitresses were very pleasant and very attentive to our needs. The place was clean and cozy and the employees made us feel very welcome. My husband and I are from Indiana visiting our daughter and son in-law who live in York, and they treated us like we were "regulars!!" Great place to take whole family.
Food was really good.Things that I didn’t like:- No Sparkling Water, Club Soda instead - The dishes took a while to come out - I wanted Fish Tacos but those are served after 3pm. Really???
Food is ok but expensive- beer menu is great. The playground is awesome for kids. Unfortunately, our service was terrible.
Service was great! Had a very kind waiter but the food wasn't good at all...had the shrimp and grits. Grits were too loose with hard lumpy pieces in it. No seasoning as the shrimp tasted fresh. It's okay for some but I won't be going back.
Great brunch options! Our waitress was so sweet! She noticed it was out first time and brought us one of their house made pop tarts, which was AMAZING.
I love Iron Rooster just not this location. Came in at 930am, only a few other tables. We waited 5 minutes before a server came over to take our drink order. Then waited another 5 minutes for our drinks. We also had a toddler with us, our server asked if we needed a highchair. We did, but she never brought it to our table. My husband had to get up after realizing shes wasnt going to bring the highchair. Worst part was when the food arrived. I got the burrito bowl. The tortilla bowl was sitting in a pile of grease. Not a little bit, like it covered the entire bottom of the plate. I removed the tortilla bowl and placed it on a napkin and requested another plate. I guess I thought with server seeing it she would say something but she didn't. I wont be coming back to this location.
Service was good, however, several of our lunch entres were delivered incomplete. Hopefully the attention-to-detail slip is temporarily due to the covid crisis.
Came here for dinner on a weekday evening. The building itself was very clean and modern looking. I was impressed with the space it offered, which only seemed larger considering it was largely empty. The food itself was alright. I got a turkey burger which I honestly did not enjoy. The mac and cheese side was pretty good though. My wife got breakfast food (pancakes) and found that to be much better. Service was excellent and attentive. I would definitely recommend the breakfast food over the lunch/dinner options here.
Definitely interesting food. Service was good although a little on the slow side. Food had some real promise, some components being excellent, but they weren't fully realized.
The host was difficult to understand and referenced high tops in the bar being free game to sit at. When we went in to sit, the bartender fussed at us. When we went back out, several tables were already in front of us. That was just annoying. Once seated, Kat was our server. She was amazing and the food was good. Tried the Roos Tart by accident and it was divine. The chicken benny was amazing as was the standard bacon and eggs. I also highly recommend the breakfast nachos. Kat was awesome and helped us make some decisions on food where we were stuck on choices.
Great service.. delicious food.. good price point.. pretty good "happy hour" menu & pricing.
Loved the design and ambience of the place. My waitress (I've unfortunately forgotten her name) was super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! Overall just a really great experience!
I came here for breakfast, the environment was very welcoming very southern, the interior design made me feel like i was at home. A very big choice of breakfast to pick from. I personally got the classic Benny with chipotle hollandaise sauce with home fries. The favor was amazing everything was cooked perfectly, I’m not a big home fries person but i enjoyed these!
Leslie was the best server I've had in years. Friendly and recommended just the right dish for me. My family loved it. Breakfast nachos are amazing. Don't settle for chicken and waffles. Get the chicken and french toast...or even better, the brie stuffed french toast. Just go, don't hesitate. Staff couldn't be friendlier.
DELICIOUS food options. Really busy in the late morning. Less people at night. Be sure to try their poo tarts. So good! I had their breakfast tacos and it was SO GOOD.
Went here with my family and everyone loved it! Got the regular eggs benedict and it was fantastic (pictured). And my niece wasn’t too big a fan of the little pop tart but we all were! Also, the breakfast nachos are definitely the best appetizer they have; they were amazing!!
Its was just ok, nothing special about the food or service. I was super excited about the breakfast poptart and French toast. The French toast was soggy. The breakfast pop tart was even more disappointing. Minimal amount of inside ingredients, more crust then anything. Left still hungry. No recommendations from me. Sorry
The food was good but the service was lacking. This is our second visit to the Iron Rooster. Our first visit was around a year ago & it was pleasant. Today's visit was disappointing. We sat at the bar and it seemed the bartender didn't want to be bothered by any of his customers. Additionally our seats allowed us to witness the returning of dirty, empty customer beer or cocktail glasses directly beside & occasionally touching freshly prepared cocktails to be served. This drink station happens to be directly over the open ice bin. We won't be returning anytime soon.
I like the pop tart they make. It seems to have gotten smaller and the price has increased. This is a nice restaurant with good seating.
Awesome Roostertarts! Somores Gotta try one, great breakfast, with drinks!! Good selection to pick from. Great first time visit while in town would go back for sure!!
Excellent food. I've also been to the Annapolis location and this place doesn't deserve the 4 star rating.
This was my first time dining here. I will sure return and advise others to try this place as well! Every thing was great, service food and atmosphere !
Service was really poor. I had to ask for utensils after our food had come out and waited for 10 min for our waitress to come by to wait because she literally put our food on the table and went somewhere else. No communication. Food wasn't tasty considering the price. Plates that were served to us for the appetizer were wet. Will not be going back.
Monday thru Friday I have the pleasure of visiting this restaurant. Though I have not eaten there as I am a bus driver on the go, they allow me to use their restroom. My 5 star rating is based on the staff who are courteous, friendly and greet me with a hearty hello and how are you this evening. Anyone who I have encountered tell me the food is wonderful and the service is excellent. The restrooms are clean and fresh too. But what prompted me to write is the staff. Everyone is so warm and friendly even to a quick encounter like myself as I run in and out. It makes my day to know I am welcome and a friendly hello how are you means a lot. So I invite you to check out this place meet the wonderful staff and enjoy a meal, I am sure you won't be disappointed.
visited the restaurant for breakfast based on the recommendation of locals. ordered the rooster tarts and chicken and waffles. chicken and waffles were delcious and hearty portion of size. the rooster tarts were huge but too sugary. food was a little expensive for breakfast. service was good. waiter was attentive.
This place is wonderful! I have a gluten allergy and they had someone come out and walk me through the menu. Delicious food and great service!!
So met some friends at this location for brunch on a Sunday. First the food was good and I will go again. The reason for 3 is the service. First we waited quite a while to be seated and when we walked to our seats there was empty seats everywhere. One of my friends noticed it. We were sat at a table that wasn’t set, and I had to take silverware and napkins from empty tables. When our appetizer came out we were not offered or given plates. One surprise my friend and I wanted to share the shrimp and grits, so they made two separate bowls. I was surprised and pleased; and this dish was amazing spicy and flavorful. The breakfast nachos were okay, I like spicy so I wanted more heat and found the sausage bland for a nacho. My friends seemed to like it.Like I said I marked down for service, easy to fix. I would go again, as I was treated well just expect more from a traditional restaurant.
This was a special occasion for New Year's Eve. It is set up for family. This was our second year and for as large as this event us they do a great job. DJ Dan was also great for a 2nd year. The food came out nice and hot. I know the guests next to us had issues but we enjoyed.
Service is horrible, I think they try to take on more business than they should. Carry staff very unprofessional. The restaurant was very crowded with customers. BEWARE.
Very good service and very good food! Plus, they disinfected every menue for every time used. Impressed by the steps they are taking during this hard time for the safety of their customers. Highly recommend!!!!!
Expect a long wait on the weekend. Portions are pretty large. The kids pancakes could have been split between two. The outdoor play area is an amazing addition. My kids loved it even in the cold.
I ordered "cakes on cakes " - crab cakes served on top of a cornmeal cake. It was absolutely delicious. However, the portion size was shameful. It looked like something you would give a small child. The meal came with asparagus. Two starks of asparagus. They were also delicious, but only two! That toddler size meal costed me $25. The waitress was friendly but she appeared to be overwhelmed by the number of tables she had to work with. The atmosphere was family friendly and very clean.
We arrived on Sunday night and they were empty. We were surprised. Saw the 3 star review but gave it a try. We were served by the bartender and he was great. Very attentive, kind and quick. It took a while for soup/chili to come out but when they did, they were really good. I got crab cakes and hubby got club sandwich and both were "ok". They came out quickly. Dessert was amazing. The waffles in the shortcake should be illegal.
Really enjoyed our visit. My son was thrilled that the whole menu is available all day, meaning he could have a grilled cheese and fries for breakfast. The waiter was very attentive and friendly, and he noticed the kitchen had made an error before we even mentioned it and took care of it right away.Bonus car show in the parking lot Saturday mornings!
This was my first time coming here. I enjoyed the atmosphere but I didn’t enjoy what I ordered. It wasn’t the restaurant’s fault though. I think I should’ve pick something else but the service was great and the vibe was nice. It’s easy to spot if your driving in that area too. I would go back, I would just order something else.
Great food and excellent service! Tables are spacious and comfortable. Delicious coffee and very friendly servers. The big brunch bowl, chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits were big hits with our group.
Fantastic service and food. The breakfast nachos were absolutely incredible. They also had this hot sauce on the table called fire honey that I can’t recommend highly enough. Put it on everything. You won’t regret it.
Fantastic place. Very nice and clean dining and bar areas. Well mannered service all around. Food was quite good. Only reason 4/5 is cause my potatoes came out bland and cold. Understandable though as its a common side dish for the busy breakfast crowd so probably made in bulk and set on a warmer.
This is one of the best restaurants i've been to. If you go I recommend that you get one of their homemade pop tarts.
Absolutely loved this place. My first visit ever the food was fresh and hot. the service was outstanding our server was super helpful and came around the perfect frequency. The manager came around to each table to check on customers himself. I will absolutely come back soon
Really good food! My first visit was Sunday. I enjoyed it so much that I went again on Wednesday! Our waitress Kat was amazing. She was bubbly, attentive and knowledgable about the menu. Awesome experience on both visits.
Stump up on this restaurant, and fell in love ever since! Love the rooters decor and 24/7 breakfast menu! My favorite is the shrimp grits with an egg on top, any style you want. Everthing else on the menu is great too.
On a Saturday morning I decided to give this place a try. I was advised that to sit a table it would be 50 mins. I know, most would leave. Don’t do it! I sat at the bar. The customer service was stellar and the food was outstanding. If you are looking for a tasty Bloody Mary, they have one of the best! Great Job Iron Rooster!
We had a delightful visit to Iron Rooster on Wednesday. Our server, Zachary, many numerous trips to our well-spaced table to bring condiments, drinks, and to check on our experience. The chicken and pancakes entree was superb. We also had a pop tart. All of the yummy food was perfectly prepared. It's well worth the drive to Hunt Valley to eat at the Rooster.
Good selection, and the food was tasty. Very good coffee. The service was lacking. No coffee or water refills. my wife ordered hot tea and was brought a generic tea bag while other tables got the full box of tea selections. And they forgot an item we ordered. We were excited to try Iron Rooster. It was just myeh.
